How We Rate

Start with the exclusions, because they decide more entries than the scoring does. A casino can be generous, well stocked and quick to pay, and still never appear on this site.

What Keeps a Casino Off This List

A cashier that takes bank deposits but offers no realistic route back out is the first exclusion. If money can go in from a bank account and only leave through a method the site does not properly support, that is a design problem, and no bonus compensates for it.

Unnamed ownership is the second. A footer that shows a logo and a jurisdiction but never names the company behind it leaves a reader with nobody to complain to. Third, quoted payout windows that contradict the site's own terms page. When the banking page promises 24 hours and the terms reserve five working days plus a pending period, we go with the terms and mark the page down for the gap.

Anything advertising a licence it does not hold is out permanently. So is any site whose terms let it void withdrawals for reasons it does not define.

The Seven Criteria and Their Weights

What survives the exclusions gets scored on seven criteria. The weights are not decoration: they are the reason the order on our lists looks the way it does, and they are heavier on money than on entertainment because that is what this site is for.

CriterionWeightWhat it measures
Payments and withdrawal speed25%Direction, minimums, fees, pending period, quoted window against published terms
Bonus terms25%Wagering, max bet while wagering, game weighting, expiry, whether a bank deposit qualifies
Licensing and operator background20%Named licence, named company, how long the brand has traded
Verification and account rules10%When documents are requested, dormancy rules, closure terms
Game library and providers8%Studio count, live tables, category depth
Support7%Channels, hours, response to a real banking question
Responsible gambling tools5%Deposit limits, time-outs, self-exclusion inside the account

Payments and bonus terms carry equal weight for a reason. A fast cashier attached to a 60x bonus and a fee-free account with a two-week pending period are both bad outcomes for the same player, and a model that rewarded only one of them would rank them wrongly.

What Gets Checked for British Players

Several of the casinos we list hold offshore licences rather than a licence from the Gambling Commission, and the country layer of our scoring exists to make that concrete rather than vague. For a British reader we check whether the site states its licence and operator, whether accounts and cashiers work in pounds, whether a bank withdrawal is genuinely offered or only a deposit route, and what the terms say about verification before a first payout.

We also state what offshore means in practice. GamStop registration covers operators licensed in Great Britain, so it does not reach a site outside that system, and a dispute has no UK appeal route behind it. Credit cards have been banned for licensed gambling in Britain since April 2020, which is one reason bank transfer and debit card carry so much of the market. None of that stops an offshore casino being a reasonable place to play, but a reader deserves to know which protections travel with them and which do not.

How Often Scores Move

Scores are revisited each review cycle, and a change in banking terms moves one faster than anything else. A site that adds a bank withdrawal route gains more than a site that doubles its welcome offer.

What This Method Cannot Do

It cannot promise that a cashier behaves tomorrow the way it behaved when we checked it. Operators change processors, tighten verification and rewrite bonus terms without announcement. A payout window is also personal: an account with documents already approved moves faster than a brand new one, whatever the banking page says.

We do not claim to have run a real-money deposit and withdrawal at every casino listed here. What we do is read every banking and terms page in full, compare the two, and score the difference.

Who Does the Rating and Who Pays for It

George Whitaker writes and maintains the scores across this domain. The site earns commission from some of the operators listed, which funds the research and changes nothing about the rubric above. Nobody can buy a weight, a position or a score, and the criteria that decide them are published here in full so any reader can check our ranking against our own rules.
